You must have the the following three pieces
of information, as initially provided by your
Administrator:

What happens if I forget my access codes? |

you forget your access codes contacting your
Training Administrator who will be able to
retrieve them for you. |

Which course am I required to take? |

Answer: |
All
employees who prepare to ship, receive, or
transport dangerous goods require TDG Training.
This applies to all Service Truck Drivers,
Shippers and Receivers. It may also include
some Shipping clerks, maintenance, parts and
traffic employees.
Most employees should take a WHMIS course.
Check with your manager or supervisor.
Your course(s) will appear in your student locker when you sign on. |

How often do I have to take these courses? |

Air
transportation workers must renew their TDG
certification every two years. Surface transportation
workers must be recertified every three years.
Both air transportation and surface transportation
workers must do the entire course every time.
You are also required to take WHMIS as determined
by your company in consultation with the Safety
Committee. |

How long does it take to complete the course? |

On average, it should take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to complete either the TDG or WHMIS course. |

Do I have to complete the entire course in one sitting or can I take breaks? |

It
is best to take the course at a time when
you can complete the course in one sitting.
If you must leave the course during your session,
remember to "EXIT" so that you may
return to the section where you left of and
not have to start from the beginning. If you
take too much time between modules, you may
not remember all the information required
to pass the exam.
You can take breaks but if you get up and
leave the system idle the server will time
you out after two hours. You will then be
required to sign into the system again and
click the 'RESUME' key. |

What happens if I fail the first time? |

Answer: |
It
is very unlikely that you will fail. There
are several review questions set up throughout
the course to test you as you go along.
You will be able to take the exam again.
Your employer will decide how many attempts
you may make before yu have to take the
course again.
The pass mark for most exams is 80%. A pass
mark of 90% applies to all TDG Air courses) |

What happens if I get too many review questions wrong? |

Answer: |
The
system will bump you back to the beginning
of the course, and you will have to start
over again. You will not be permitted to
attempt the exam until you have passed the
required amount of review questions. |

I was halfway through the course when the system bumped me back to the beginning of the course. Why did that happen? |

Answer: |
Most
likely, you got too many of the review questions
wrong. If you get too many wrong, the system
puts you back at the beginning to give you
the opportunity to review the training information
and try again.
Once you have successfully completed the
review questions you will be permitted to
complete the exam. |

Once I pass the exam where do I get my certificate? |

Answer: |
You can get your certificate from the Administrator once he/she has received the email stating that you have successfully completed the exam.
After you have successfully completed the
TDG course you will be issued, a wallet card
by your training administrator. |

What if I get an Error Message about Cookie Settings and cannot log on to the system? |

Answer: |
You
will get the cookie message occasionally.
Usually this can be resolved by cleaning
out your browser's History, Temporary Internet
Files and old cookies from YOUR
computer.
You can do this by consulting the Web Browser Settings page. |
